Nominations for the T21RS President 2026-2027

Dear Members of the Trisomy 21 Research Society,

The election for the President Elect for the years 2026-2028 , will be held during December 2025. This position are officers of the T21RS and will participate as members in the Executive Committee after their election and official announcement. A description of the position is included below.

Only full members can nominate, vote or run for office. Strong leadership is critical to the vitality of the T21RS, and these positions are an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the society, and grow membership. We are inviting members to help select colleagues for the nomination slate who are interested in becoming T21RS decision makers and leaders.

Self-nominations are welcomed. To nominate someone else, please check first the agreement of the nominee. Please send the name and email address of the nominee to secretariatecnicat21rs@bcocongresos.com, subject line: “Nomination”.

Include a bio sketch of 2 pages maximum showing evidence of leadership, professional activities and scholarship and a short description of the candidate’s qualifications, to be distributed to the members. Deadline for nominations is October 31st.

Elections will proceed through an electronic ballot in the T21RS intranet (Membership Area). This election will take place from Monday 1st to Sunday 14th of December 2025.

T21RS President Elect

The elected candidate will be in office for a term of two years as President Elect to have the opportunity to get familiar with the T21RS management; as President during the third and fourth year, during which his/her function will be to manage the Society. For the last two years of the term in office he/she will act as Former President. The newly Elected and the Former President will participate in the Executive Board meetings without the right to vote.
