The committee is now mapping out the logistics of conducting a study using the “Existing Cohorts Database” (ECD). They will start with a straightforward project to determine issues related to international collaborations, including project review, data sharing, and data analyses. The current thought is to study the performance of the KBIT-2 among children/adolescents with Down syndrome, as half of the cohorts in the ECD used this measure. Combining data will provide a sufficient sample size to determine the value of this instrument as a standard for new cohorts.
